Embracing the Challenge: Completing Chase The Sun Cycling Challenge 🌅🚴♂️
At FLI Group, we’re proud to acknowledge the achievements of our esteemed colleagues.
None more so than Chris Woods, who recently completed the ‘Chase The Sun Cycle‘ challenge.
They say there’s something special about chasing the sun from sunrise to sunset on two wheels.
Joined by a community of dedicated cyclists, Chris set off on a 340 km journey along country lanes and through the stunning Sperrin Area of Natural Beauty, battling headwinds for 85% of the route.
The adventure didn’t stop there. Following the event, they explored the scenic Atlantic Coast Route, cycling from Enniscrone to Westport and ending in Galway.
It was a journey filled with challenges, breathtaking landscapes, and encounters with friendly locals who made it unforgettable.
Here are some highlights from Chris’s journey:
⏱️ Duration: 5 days
🗺️ Distance: 1,000 km
⛰️ Elevation gained: 9,000 m (equivalent to Everest)
🚲 Pedal revolutions: 200,000
👉 Guinness enjoyed: plenty 🍻
This journey was a true testament to the spirit of adventure and perseverance.
Here’s to more epic rides and memorable experiences ahead!
A big congratulations to Chris and everyone involved from all at FLI Global.
