RAF Kirton Lindsey Redevelopment

Overview FLI Global, through its specialist remediation division VertaseFLI, is proud to be supporting the transformation of the former RAF Kirton Lindsey site into a vibrant, sustainable residential community. This historically significant location is being redeveloped as part of a mixed-use masterplan that will deliver up to 350 new homes, while preserving the site’s heritage and promoting environmental excellence.

Client and Partnership The site is owned by the UK Land & Infrastructure Fund (UKLIF) and managed by LandIS. VertaseFLI has been appointed to carry out full remediation and enabling works, helping to unlock the long-term potential of this important brownfield location.

Scope of Works VertaseFLI’s role includes:

  • Comprehensive Site Investigation & Remediation: Addressing legacy contaminants from the site’s historic military use to ensure long-term safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Demolition & Material Management: Safe removal of redundant structures, with asbestos removal and materials being crushed and sorted for reuse and recycling.
  • Groundworks & Infrastructure Preparation: Development of essential infrastructure including access roads, drainage systems, development platforms, and utility installations.
  • Environmental Management: Protection of local habitats, with strict adherence to environmental standards throughout every phase of work.

Progress to Date Since the project began, significant strides have been made:

  • Demolition and asbestos removal have continued safely and efficiently.
  • The team has begun crushing and sorting materials from soft strip works, reinforcing FLI Global’s commitment to sustainable construction by prioritising reuse and minimising waste.
  • Site operations remain firmly on programme, with the next milestone being the start of full-scale remediation and enabling works.

Looking Ahead As the project moves forward, remediation and enabling works will prepare the site for future development phases, including residential construction. The aim is to create a sustainable, thriving community that respects both the environment and the heritage of RAF Kirton Lindsey.

FLI Global is committed to working closely with the client, local stakeholders, and the wider project team to ensure the redevelopment is delivered safely, responsibly, and with long-term social and environmental value.
