Boosting Biodiversity at FLI Global! 🐝🌿

We are thrilled to share an exciting new sustainability initiative led by our Group Sustainability Manager, Daniel Blanchfield, to enhance biodiversity at our FLI Precast Solutions factory in Carlow.

We’ve recently set up a bee apiary with AIM native honey bees, and it’s already creating a buzz!

Why bees?

Bees are crucial for pollination, supporting healthy ecosystems and promoting biodiversity.

By introducing native honey bees to our site, we’re not only contributing to the local environment but also fostering a thriving ecosystem that benefits everyone. 🌳🌸

Here are some highlights of our project so far:
🏠 Three hives established and more to come next year!
🐝 AIM native honey bees introduced, supporting local species.
🌳 Planting fruit trees, flowers, and more to further promote biodiversity.
🍯 100 jars of honey produced this year – a sweet surprise!
🀝 Partnering with local experts from the Carlow Beekeepers Association to ensure best practices.

Special thanks to Eamon, our dedicated beekeeper, for all his hard work in nurturing our new bees and ensuring the success of this initiative!

This initiative is just one step on our journey to integrate sustainable practices across FLI Global.

We’re proud to see how these efforts positively impact our operations, the community, and the environment.

Looking forward to expanding our apiary and seeing even more positive change in the coming years!

Stay tuned for more updates on our commitment to creating a greener future. 🌍

Building a better world where nature & natural resources are protected.
